So why should you come along to my Salonpreneur programme?

Firstly let me give you my background - born and raised in Newcastle NSW, I have been described as being a woman of energy, passion and infectious enthusiasm, a proven formidable marketer and an entrepreneurial business person. My greatest strength is as a communicator and motivator to both business owners and their employees. I am also a wife and mother to three gorgeous children.

With great determination, passion and energy I developed my business from Just Libby - an owner operator hair salon which I opened at 21 to become "Just Liberated", which now incorporates two award winning salons - one a quaint village shopping strip and the other in a large, vibrant, commercial shopping complex.

Through the 25 year evolution of the Just Liberated salons and as many years of study, development and practice of my business methods, I believe that I have a clear understanding of the challenges that face business owners and employees in today's market and the communication skills required to achieve high levels of customer service, team cohesion, branding and business growth in whatever economic market or location your business may be situated within.

The great honour of being recognised for my business acumen through the 2007 State Small Business Awards, 2007 National Small Business Awards, the 2006 Global Salon Business Award, (which has competitors entering from across 22 countries) for entrepreneurial business excellence in Client Philosophy/Marketing & Promotion & recently the 2008 Global Salon Business Award, again in the category of entrepreneurial business excellence and achievement was a testiment to my diligence and methodology.

Having won these prestigious awards I was further inspired to continue mentoring and teaching other business owners to develop their business. By 'walking my talk' I strive to assist others achieve what they want from their business.

"Secrets of small business owners exposed!" featured a chapter on me, and the magazine Wealth Creator magazine (May/June 2007) printed my article on "Going the extra Mile" which discussed strategies to put "customer service" back into industry. I have also had articles published in trade magazines Hair Biz and iNSTYLE and am now a sort after Key note speaker on staff and customer motivation/ retention and marketing.

"Liberated Life" is the natural extension of my Just Liberated brand. Under the Liberated Life banner our inaugural Liberated Life Retreat was held in the picturesque Hunter Valley April, 2008. While enjoying the company of other like minded females, our leading women executives, managers and team leaders heard from our speakers on strategies to assist their communication skills, staff retention and management, how to engage their staff and where advised on tools available to assist them in their business. This information was interwoven with copious amounts of laughter, indulgent products and gifts, hair, beauty and style advice whilst delegates were rejuvenated with delicious food in the scenic Hunter Valley. Delegates attended from all over Australia. Since this retreat we have received requests from Qld and Vic to repeat the format within their states and are now in the planning stage of a retreat in beautiful Qld. We'll keep you posted on the details!
